Start an inspection

Inspections in the status RELEASED can be started.

With this action, the user can mark an inspection as STARTED. This way, it can be made clear to other users that the relevant inspection is already reserved, while the necessary preperations are being made for processing the inspection instructions.

If the action Process Inspection is chosen directly, the inspection is also started automatically.
  1. Choose Inspection Management > Inspections in the Navigation Pane.
  2. Find and select the inspection.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • Click Start Inspection in the toolbar.
    • Right-click on the inspection and choose Start Inspection in the shortcut menu.
    If additional QC info is entered, it will be displayed in the opening screen. Read the text and click Next.
  4. In the dialog box Wizard Start Inspection, an overview is given of the inspection instructions to be processed. View the instructions and click Finish.
    The status of the inspection is changed to STARTED.
