Add an input inspection instruction

  1. Choose Inspection Management > Inspection Instructions in the Navigation Pane.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • Right-click Inspection Instructions or My Inspection Instructions in the Navigation Pane and choose New Inspection Instruction in the shortcut menu.
    • Click New Inspection Instruction in the toolbar.
  3. Choose Input from the drop-down menu Type.
  4. In the option group General, complete the fields below:
    FieldExplanation
    Name The name of the inspection. For example: Item temperature.
    Description The description of the inspection. For example: Measure the temperature of the items.
    ID Field to be completed at your discretion, to assign an individual ID.
    Category Field to be completed at your discretion, to assign an individual category.
  5. From the option group Input Options, select one of the following options:
    OptionExplanation
    Number

    Enter the Uom or click and choose the Uom.

    Check Minimum and enter a value if the entered value may not exceed a minimum value.

    Check Maximum and enter a value if the entered value may not exceed a maximum value.

    If the entered value exceeds the minimum or maximum values, then the inspection result will be NOT OK.

    Text Text can be entered during an inspection. The entered text has no influence on the inspection result, but is for information purposes only.
    List
    • Enter a value in the field Value.
    • In the drop-down menu Result choose one of the following inspection results: OK, WARNING or NOT OK.
    • Click Add Value to add more values to the list.
    • Select a value and click Move Up or Move Down to change the order of the values.
  6. If desired, select a validation method from the drop-down menu Validation.
    This can be programmed by Objective at the request of the customer.
  7. Click Finish.
  8. Where applicable, add free fields. See Edit free fields via icon (Configurator).
  9. Where applicable, add translations. See Add translations via icon (Configurator).
