Reallocation

Manual reallocation of pick shortages and, where applicable, backorders of an order will be supported. This means that Objective, at the command of the user, will again try to allocate for open orderline quantities to deliver or produce the order in full.

This functionality is typically used to prevent practical issues which would threaten the delivery service level or the delivery of inputs to production. For example: picking shortages as a result of stock differences, a large number of production rejects, delays in transport or production, so a backorder cannot be executed on time.

In the case of reallocation and in addition to the existing pick lists, Objective will create new pick lists that will be executed separately.

Reallocation will only try to reallocate the unworkable pick tasks of existing pick lists. Released but not yet finished pick tasks will not be reallocated.
