Add a new location override reason

If a task cannot be executed at the target, a location override reason must be entered.

For example: Insufficient space.

  1. Choose Warehouse Management > Task Reasons in the Navigation Pane.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • Right-click Location Override Reasons and choose New Location Override Reason in the shortcut menu.
    • Click Location Override Reasons in the Data Pane and click New Location Override Reason in the toolbar of the tab Location Override Reasons.
  3. In the option group Location Override Reason, complete the fields below:
    FieldExplanation

    Name

    (mandatory field)

    The name of the location override reason.
    Description The description of the location override reason.
    ID Field to be completed at your discretion, to assign an individual ID.
    Category The category can be programmed on request of the customer by Objective.
  4. Where applicable, in the option group Handling Options, check the fields below:
    FieldExplanation
    Lock Location with Reason

    Lock location so that no new orders can be sent to that location. The location is logistically locked.

    Check, choose the inventory lock reason and click Finish.
    Generate Stock Check Objective automatically generates a counting task for the relevant location.
    Mark Location As Full

    The location is marked as full. The tasks are moved to the new location chosen by the operator. The tasks that cannot be moved to a new location, are set to PENDING. The putaway and relocation rules will no longer recommend the location that is marked as full.

    The Full mark will automatically be removed when inventory is moved from this location. The mark can also be removed manually by the operator or supervisor.
  5. Click Finish.
