Reason Groups

Reasons are possible system or user defined reasons for inventory actions or anomalies. These reasons are not related to task reasons. The system either determines the reason itself (for background processes, system defined reasons) or displays a drop-down menu to the user (if the user takes action and needs to justify this action, user defined reasons). The drop-down menu then contains the user defined possibilities. Reasons can be grouped in reason groups. The reason groups are already set in Objective and cannot be removed. The reasons can be created and deleted.

The following reason groups are already set in Objective:

• Inventory Adjustment Reasons: reasons why inventory is adjusted (system or user defined reason).
• Inventory Anomaly Reasons: when a stock break gets detected an anomaly with the reason 'Stock Break' is created (system defined reason).
• Inventory Lock Reasons: reasons why inventory is locked (user defined reason).
• Stock Check Error Reasons: reasons why a stock check cannot be executed (system or user defined reason).
