Distribute the operations

Operations can be distributed over the Gantt diagram with a fixed interval. The entered interval (X) is the time between when one operation stops and the next one starts.

This action cannot be carried out on a work center with a parallel or shift based planning mode.

  1. Choose Production Management > Planning Cells in the Navigation Pane.
  2. Select the planning cell.
  3. Choose the tab Planning.
  4. Select a machine or work center in the column Resource.
  5. Do one of the following:
    • Select at least 2 consecutive operations in the sub tab Planning and click Distribute .
    • Select at least 2 consecutive operations in the Gantt diagram, right-click the selection and choose Distribute in the shortcut menu.
    To distribute operations, no operations may be present between the selected operations.
    In the Drag & Drop mode (button Drag & Drop is clicked) and after selecting the operations, you must hold down the SHIFT key to retain the selection after right-clicking!
  6. In Interval enter the number of hours and minutes.
  7. Click OK.
    The first operation remains unchanged and the following operations are placed in the planning according to the entered interval. Non-selected operations are placed behind the last selected operation.
