Planning Board

The planning board consists of a Gantt diagram (1) and a table with operations (2).

The resources (machines and work centers), possibly plannable (if configured in the planning cells), are available on the planning board. The production order or operation becomes visible on the planning board as soon as it is in the status PLANNED.

The production planner can manage these production orders via the graphic planning board, this means: allocating the required resources (e.g. production line, machines, work centers, production employees). On the other hand, the production or planning supervisor can track the production status in Objective, with one glance at the graphic planning board. Among other things, this planning board provides a real-time view of how the orders and operations are proceeding and of the load of the machines.

The supervisor can simply set the period of time he wants to view. Moreover, via Objective's planning board orders and operations can be easily dragged to other machines. And finally, he can use it to freeze orders and operations, remove them from the planning, re-enter them in the planning and unfreeze them.

If a production order or an operation is released for production, it will be visible to the operator on the MES Operator Client.

To run the production, Objective allows editing the production steps and their relation in a visual and intuitive manner (for example stop-after-start, start-after-start,...). In this respect, the 'run duration' of the various steps and the minimum and maximum delay between the steps (for example for internal transportation inside the factory) are also taken into consideration. This all contributes to an accurate and realistic planning of the production.
