Planning Cells

To streamline the production planning and execution, Objective has the option of creating planning cells.

Planning cells consist of:

• Resources (machines and work centers)
• Employees
• Basic requirements (Shift Type, required skill, skill level and the number of people required who have this skill)

These basic requirements define the number of people and their skills that are required for each shift. On the basis of the selected resources, Objective will assign the production orders to a corresponding planning cell. The production manager or production planner can follow the planning for each planning cell and adjust it if necessary.

Example: Planning cell (1) consists of all cleaning machines of departments A, B and C. Planning cell (2) consists of all lathes of departments A and B. Planning cell (3) consists of all bottling machines of department C.
