Edit the visualization of the operations

To keep the planning board orderly, the supervisor can use colors for operations in the Gantt diagram. Colors can be based on the due date or an attribute.

  1. Choose Production Management in the Navigation Pane.
  2. Click the element Departments, Machines, (External) Work Centers, Resource Groups or Planning Cells.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • Choose a department, machine, (external) work center, resource group or planning cell.
    • Choose My 'Element'.
    • Choose a filter.
  4. Choose the tab Planning.
  5. Click User Properties .
  6. In the option group Production, in the drop-down menu Visualize by, choose one of the following options:

    Due Date The entered due date is compared to the current due date of the planned operation. The operation is color-coded depending on the time (too early, early, on time,...).
    Attribute For example: The operation is assigned a color depending on the produced item, based on the resource name,...
  7. If you choose Due date, where applicable, click Edit Settings to edit the colors and times of the visualization based on the due date:

    Too early

    Set the color and the offset.

    If the difference between the due date and the current end date is more than the entered offset, the operation will be given the set color.
    Early

    Set the color and the offset.

    If the difference between the due date and the current end date is more than the offset entered in Too early, the operation will be given the set color.
    On time

    Set the color and the offset.

    If the difference between the due date and the current end date is less than the offset entered in Early and less than the offset entered in Late, the operation will be given the set color.
    Late

    Set the color and the offset.

    If the difference between the due date and the current end date is more than the offset entered and less than the offset entered in Too late, the operation will be given the set color.
    Too late

    Set the color and the offset.

    If the difference between the due date and the current end date is more than the entered offset, the operation will be given the set color.
    No due date

    Set the color.

    If no due date is entered, the operation will be given the set color.
    Click Reset Defaults to reset the defaults of Objective.
  8. Click Finish.
  9. Click Finish.
