Example of handling an inspection

An inspection consists of the following 6 inspection instructions, which are completed in the following order:

Inspection instruction Executable on RF Executable In-Line on RF Execution In-Line on RF is mandatory Mandatory
I01 X
I02 X
I03 X X
I04 X X
I05 X X X
I06 X X X X

With the reception the inspection instructions I04, I05 and I06 are immediately offered on the RF device of the operator. The putaway task is paused. The putaway task is only released after inspection instruction I06 is performed on the spot and inspection instruction I04 an I05 are performed on the spot or halted. Inspection instruction I04 and I05 can be stopped and resumed later. Inspection instruction I06 MUST be performed on the spot.

The inspection can not be closed yet, because inspection instructions I01 and I03 are mandatory to be performed. Inspection instruction I02 (not mandatory) and inspection instruction I03 can be performed via a RF device. Inspection instruction I01 will have to be carried out on an Operator Client or on a Supervisor device.

After inspection instructions I01 and I03 are completed, the inspection can be completed and the QC status is adjusted.

Overview of inspection instructions:

  • Inspection instruction I01 is not executable on RF and so for example will have to be executed at a QC work center via a Operator Client device or a Supervisor device. This inspection instruction must be done in order to close the inspection.
  • Inspection instruction I02 is executable on RF, but will not be offered upon receipt. The inspection instruction will be able to be carried out on RF if the concerning LPN is scanned. It is not mandatory to execute the inspection instruction.
  • Inspection instruction I03 is executable on RF, but will not be offered upon receipt. The inspection instruction will be able to be carried out on RF if the concerning LPN is scanned. This inspection instruction must be done in order to close the inspection.
  • Inspection instruction I04 is executable on RF and is presented immediately upon receipt. It is not mandatory to execute the inspection instruction and can be halted and resumed later or be canceled.
  • Inspection instruction I05 is executable on RF and is presented immediately upon receipt. This inspection instruction must be done in order to close the inspection. The inspection instruction can be stopped and resumed later.
  • Inspection instruction I06 is executable on RF and is presented immediately upon receipt. This inspection instruction must be done in order to close the inspection. The inspection statement can not be stopped.
