Add a new PLE group

  1. Choose Warehouse Management > PLE > PLE Groups in the Navigation pane.
  2. Click New PLE Group in the toolbar of the tab Quick Search.
    The Wizard New PLE Group dialog appears.
  3. In the option group General, complete the fields below:
    FieldExplanation

    Name

    (mandatory field)

    The name of the PLE Group.
    Description The description of the PLE Group.
  4. In the option group PLE Flow, complete the following fields:

    PLE Flow

    If you want to bring a PLE group online, a PLE Flow must be specified.

    Do one of the following to specify a PLE flow:

    • In the field PLE Flow enter the name of the PLE flow.
    • Click on Select PLE Flow, choose a PLE flow and click Finish.
  5. In the option group Production Settings, complete the fields below:

    Restrict WIP-IN location

    If you want to configure a PLE group for production picking, you can limit the WIP-IN locations to which the inputs can be brought by assigning a specific location ID.

    To configure the ID on the location, see Add properties to a location (without underlying locations) or Add properties to a location (with underlying locations).
  6. Click Finish.
    The properties of a PLE group can still be modified afterward via the sub tab Properties, if the group is offline.
  7. Where applicable, add free fields. See Edit free fields via tab (Configurator).
