Evacuate an LPN buffer

To clear locations in the LPN buffer for other items, it is determined which items can be removed from the LPN buffer. The removed items are relocated to a suitable location in the warehouse according to the putaway rules.

If a minimum number of LPNs for items in the LPN buffer is set in the Configurator, only the LPNs above this minimum can be evacuated. No open relocation tasks or allocations are allowed on the relevant location.

1. Choose Warehouse Management > LPN Buffers in the Navigation Pane.
2. Select the LPN buffer.
3. Do one of the following:
   • Click Evacuate LPN Buffer in the toolbar.
   • Right-click on the LPN buffer and choose Evacuate LPN Buffer in the shortcut menu.
4. An overview of evacuable LPNs appears in the dialog box Evacuate LPN Buffer Wizard.
5. Select the LPNs you want to evacuate.
6. Click Finish.
7. Possibly, an error message may appear. Read the reason carefully and click OK.
