Modify QC handling of an output

QC handling of an output can only be modified for a production order in IDLE or PLANNED status.
  1. Choose Production Management > Production Orders. Search for and select the production order.
  2. Choose the tab Operations and select the operation.
  3. Choose the vertical tab General sub tab Outputs and select the output.
  4. Click Modify QC Handling .
  5. If applicable, edit the following options in the dialog box Wizard Modify QC Handling:
    Option Group Option Explanation
    QC Status Use default item QC status The output will receive the default QC status set at the item.
    Use specific QC status From the drop-down menu, select the QC status the output should get.
    Use QC Status for Lot creation (every output will receive the lot's QC status) Every output will receive the lot's QC status the minute the lot is created. Should the QC status of the lot be changed at a later stage, the QC status of all outputs (belonging to that lot) will be changed automatically.
    WIP creation (any declared WIP inventory will receive this QC status) Every output will receive the QC status the minute the output is created. Should the QC status of the lot be changed at a later stage, the outputs will not automatically receive the changed QC status of the lot.
    Options Allow manual modifications while executing the job The operator can manually edit the QC status of the output.
  6. If you want to add a QC ID and/or QC instructions to the inspection of these outputs, click QC Instructions at the bottom of the tab and enter the following fields:
    Option Group Option Explanation
    Settings QC ID The QC ID is a free field that enables more control over which inspections should be made in which cases. The inspection rules in the Configurator (Inspection Rules > LPN Production > LPN Production Rules > Rule Configuration > Filter) can use the QC ID as a criterion for deciding whether the rules are applicable or not.
    QC Instructions - The QC Instructions are displayed to the operator who carries out the inspection. This can be general information for the inspection sheet as well as specific information for the relevant inspection.
    The info will appear in the info field when carrying out the inspection.
  7. Click Finish.
