Edit the properties of a variant

  1. Choose Recipe Management > Recipes in the Navigation Pane.
  2. Select the variant.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • Click Edit Variant in the toolbar.
    • Right-click the selection and choose Edit Variant in the Shortcut menu.
  4. In the dialog box Edit Variant Wizard in the option group Properties, edit the following fields:

    Name The name of the recipe variant.
    • The name needs to be unique within the recipe.
    Description The description of the recipe variant.
    Category This field can be left blank or the category BATCH can be selected in the drop-down menu. It is not possible to add another batch recipe to a recipe variant with this category. See Batching (Module ISA88 Batch Management required).
  5. In the option group Batch Settings, complete the fields below:

    Default Batch Size The default quantity that will be produced via this variant.
    Min Batch Size The minimum quantity that can be produced via this variant. Quantities lower than this number will have to be produced via another recipe variant.
    Max Batch Size The maximum quantity that can be produced via this variant. Quantities higher than this number will have to be produced via another recipe variant.
  6. If a default batch size is entered, the following fields can possibly be checked:
    • Update batch settings of all versions in edit : The set batch sizes will be used by any new versions that are created, or by the versions with the status EDIT.
    • Automatic recalculating of material quantities: (can only be checked if the previous field was checked) If checked, the required material quantities (inputs) will be recalculated automatically when the quantity that is to be produced deviates from the default quantity (Default Batch Size).
  7. Click Finish.
