Enter the measurement sampling
- Choose Production Management > Production Orders. Search for and select the production order.
- Choose the tab Operations and select the operation.
- Choose vertical tab Quality > sub tab Instructions.
- Choose <All Instructions>.
- Choose in the tab Instructions the measurement instruction.
- Choose in the sub tab Measurements the measurement.
- Choose the tab Sampling.

In the option group Sampling Type, choose one of the following options:
- Fixed number of samples: The operator has to execute a fixed number of measurements.
- Variable number of samples: The operator is recommended to execute the number of measurements entered.
You can only choose Variable number of samples for manual and semi-automatic registrations. -
In the option group Number of Samples in the field Number of samples to be entered, enter the number of measurements that the operator must or is recommended to execute.
A minimum of 2 measurements (samples) should be set to set the Upper Control Limit and Upper Specification Limit. -
In the option group Range Limits, check the check box Upper Control Limit and enter the value of the allowed variation.
For example: The upper control limit is set at 2 kg. The difference between the highest and the lowest measurement is 3 kg. This difference is bigger than the set upper control limit. The result of the check instruction will be WARNING.

In the option group Range Limits, check the check box Upper Specification Limit and enter the value of the allowed variation.
For example: Upper specification limit is set at 4 kg. The difference between the highest and the lowest measurement is 5 kg. This difference is bigger than the set upper specification limit. The result of the check instruction will be ERROR.
- Click OK.
