Add a new planning cell
- Choose Production Management > Planning Cells in the Navigation Pane.

Do one of the following to add a planning cell:
- Right-click Planning Cells or My Planning Cells in the Navigation Pane and choose New Planning Cell in the shortcut menu.
- Click New Planning Cell in the toolbar of the Data Pane.

In the option group Properties of Wizard New Planning Cell, complete the fields below:
Field Explanation Name
(mandatory field)
The name of the planning cell.
Description The description of the planning cell. Cost Center Enter the cost center or click Select Cost Center to allocate a cost center to the planning cell. -
Do one of the following in the option group Cost Center:
- In the field Cost Center, enter the name of the cost center.
- Click Select Cost Center , select a cost center and click OK.

Click Finish.
The properties of a planning cell can still be modified afterward via the vertical tab General > sub tab Properties. - Where applicable, add free fields. See Edit free fields via tab (Configurator).
