Operations

The operations determine for which production activities the resource can be used. This does not merely concern the operation's description, but also all relevant parameters for that operation, such as capacity, speed,... Based on this information Objective will enable you to choose the right resource for the right production activity or to take into account the effect of choosing one specific resource compared to another (a longer lead time, for example). This phase also involves determining the characteristics for these operations via instructions and checks.

After the resources have been added, the operations can be added to the resources.

First, the operations must be added to the parent resource type before you can add operations to the machine or work center.

Adding operations can be done in either direction:

• Add a resource to an operation.
• Add an operation to a machine or work center.
