Add properties to a warehouse

  1. Choose Warehouse Management > Warehouses in the Navigation Pane.
  2. Select the warehouse.
  3. Choose the tab Properties.
  4. In the option group Warehouse, complete the required fields.
    FieldExplanation
    Name

The name of the warehouse (copied from the wizard).

To edit the name, click Rename Warehouse , adjust the name and click Finish.

Description The description of the warehouse (copied from the wizard).
ID Field to be completed at your discretion, to assign an individual ID.
Category Field to be completed at your discretion, to assign an individual category.
    Nettable

This option is checked by default.

Only uncheck the check box when Objective CANNOT allocate items for picking from any location of that warehouse.

Example: A remote warehouse for emergency stock that can never directly be allocated for picking.

  5. Where applicable, in the option group Cubics, check the following option:
    OptionExplanation
    Max Available Cubics

This option is unchecked by default. The sum of the cubics of the underlying locations is used as maximum available cubics.

Check the check box to edit the maximum available cubics.

This property is used for putaway and relocate goods and it is also used to set the Used Space (%) of the warehouse.

The incompetent setting of the maximum available space could lead to the fact that Objective can no longer assign a target location for the putaway or relocation of items!

For example: If the total available cubics of the warehouse is less than the sum of the available cubics of the locations in the warehouse!

  6. Where applicable, in the option group Handling Options check the following field:
    FieldExplanation
LPN Swap Enabled Check if, for a task on a location, a different carrier (LPN) from the same location can be used. See LPN swap.

The setting of this field is put through to underlying locations with underlying locations, and cannot be edited there.

If checked, and directly under this warehouse are locations without underlying locations with the setting LPN Swap Enabled checked, it is also possible to swap between these locations.

Trigger LPN Relocation after QC Adjustment

Module Inspection & Quality Management required.

If checked, a relocation task will be automatically initiated when the QC status of LPNs located in this warehouse is changed, provided that appropriate relocation rules can be found by the system. See Putaway / Relocation rules to set the correct relocation rules.
