Logistic work centers

A work center is a location in the warehouse that is equipped with technical resources (printers, scales, cranes, packaging machines,...) to execute a VAL, Kit or repack operation.

WIP-IN locations, WIP-IN pick zones and WIP-OUT locations can be added to a work center. WIP-IN locations are locations where the items are placed which are necessary for the work center to perform the VAL, Kit, repackaging operation or inspection task. The WIP-IN Pick Zones create a dynamic approach. The items are placed on the locations of the pick zone in function of the VAL, Kit, repackaging and are automatically replenished and evacuated. Finished products are placed at WIP-OUT locations. WIP-IN locations, WIP-IN pick zones and WIP-OUT locations can be used for multiple work centers.
