Task swap

At a drive-in or floor location type (painted lines on the floor where multiple carriers can stand next to/behind each other or stacked on top of each other) it is recommended to enable a task swap. The forklift driver gets the instruction task to collect LPN1 on the location and to put it away. LPN1, however, is not directly reachable. If a task swap is enabled on this location, the forklift driver can swap the task. He will scan the carrier he can reach (LPN2). The condition is that there is also a task on LPN2. The forklift driver will first execute this task. The LPN1 task will continue to exist and can be executed the moment LPN1 becomes reachable for the forklift driver.

Conditions: The other scanned LPN must have a task of a similar task type and the other scanned LPN is in the same work zone.

Attention: Use this option only when necessary. Incompetent use (for example in work zones where operators are picking) may lead to unwanted/suboptimal performance of tasks due to (excessive) operator freedom.
