Configure a specific labor setting
- Choose System Management > MES Settings > Labor Settings in the Navigation Pane.
- Choose Configuration > Labor Settings > Specific in the Data Pane.
- Select a setting.
- Choose the sub tab Specific Labor Options.

In the option group Direct Labor Options, complete the fields below:
Field Explanation Simultaneous direct activities by the same user Select one of the following options:
- Not Allowed, the operator can only execute 1 direct activity at a time.
- Allowed on same resource, the operator can execute multiple direct activities simultaneously on the same resource.
- Allowed anywhere, the operator can execute multiple direct activities simultaneously.

In the option group Indirect Labor Options, complete the fields below:
Field Explanation Simultaneous indirect activities by the same user Select one of the following options:
- Not Allowed, the operator can only execute 1 indirect activity at a time.
- Allowed on same resource, the operator can execute multiple indirect activities simultaneously on the same resource.
- Allowed anywhere, the operator can execute multiple indirect activities simultaneously.

In the option group General Labor Options, complete the fields below:
Field Explanation Combination of direct/indirect activities by the same user Select one of the following options:
- Not Allowed, the operator CANNOT execute direct and indirect activities simultaneously.
- Allowed on same resource, the operator can execute direct and indirect activities simultaneously on the same resource.
- Allowed anywhere, the operator can execute direct and indirect activities simultaneously.
- Choose the sub tab Employees.
- Click Add Employees .
- Select one or more employees.
- Click Finish.
- Choose the sub tab Privileges.
- Click Add Privileges .
- Select one or more privileges.

Click Finish.
As soon as an operator is put on the list of employees, or is assigned the privilege (set in the specific labor options), the settings in the tab Specific Labor Options apply to that operator.
