Add a new direct activity

  1. Choose Production Management > Direct Activities in the Navigation Pane.
  2. Click New Direct Activity in the toolbar of the tab Direct Activities.
  3. In the option group General of Wizard New Direct Activity, complete the fields below:
    FieldExplanation

    Name

    (mandatory field)

    The name of the direct activity.
    Description The description of the direct activity.
    ID Field to be completed at your discretion, to assign an individual ID.
  4. If needed, in the option group Options, check the following boxes:
    FieldExplanation
    Employee Exclusive If checked, the employee cannot perform any other (direct or indirect) activity while performing this direct activity.
    Terminatable The direct activity can be terminated to start another (direct or indirect) activity.
    Productive

    Checked by default. A direct activity is by default productive.

    Example of a non-productive activity: For a job that is normally executed by 1 employee, 2 more employees are added to assist. These 2 employees are performing a direct activity that is not productive. This way, the duration of this activity will not be added to the production performance (the job does not produce 3 times as many units!) but the man-hours are registered on the machine.
  5. Click Finish.
  6. Where applicable, add free fields. See Edit free fields via tab (Configurator).
  7. Where applicable, add translations. See Add translations via tab.
