Configuration

Go through the following steps to configure a dynamic WIP-IN:

• Add WIP-IN locations to the machine. See Add a WIP-IN location to a machine or work center.
• Set locations as dynamic WIP-IN locations. See Set a WIP-IN location as dynamic WIP-IN location.
• Add the dynamic WIP-IN entries. See Add dynamic WIP-IN entries to a machine.
• Ensure that the option Use WIP-IN inventory at input registration is checked at the WIP handling of the input. See Set WIP-IN inventory of an input.
• The registration can be executed via backflush or detailed.

  For detailed registration, add a counter tag to the equipment modules with type Job and category Input Consumption. See Add a counter tag to an equipment module.

• In the MES Operator Client, a specific table and action are available on the resource view. It is possible via this action to link the right module to the right WIP-IN location.
