Lock an element

If multiple users make changes to the same element in the Navigation Pane at the same time, only the data from the user that saves last will be kept (the changes of the other users will be lost).

In order to avoid simultaneous changes of an element, an element can be locked.

  1. Right-click the element in the Navigation Pane you want to lock.
  2. Choose Lock 'Element'.
  3. In the dialog box Lock [Element] you can enter additional information in Value. Other users can see this information.
    • When closing Objective Configurator the Lock Management pane appears. Here you can unlock or leave locked all the elements that you have previously locked.
    • For an overview of the elements that you have locked, choose Tools > Lock Administration > User locks.
    • For an overview of locked elements (including those not locked by you) choose Tools > Lock Administration > Lock Administration.
