Add a holiday request

This request is preferably done via the Webclient of Objective. The supervisor can also add holiday requests.
  1. Choose Attendance Management in the Navigation Pane.
  2. Choose the element Employees, Employee Groups or Departments in the Navigation Pane.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • Select a filter.
    • Select My 'Element'.
    • Select an employee, employee group or department.
  4. Select the employee.
  5. Choose the tab Holiday Requests > Open in the Data Pane.
  6. Click Add Holiday Request .
  7. In the option group Holiday Type, choose one of the following options:
    • One or more days, select the from and to date.
    • Partial day, select the date in the drop-down menu Date and, where applicable, uncheck the segments for which no leave is requested.
    • Short Leave, to enter a short leave, choose the date where the short leave is requested. Edit in the From and Until fields the period of the short leave.
    Short leave is used to enter absences from one specific hour to another specific hour or to enter different types of absences.
  8. Where applicable, in the option group Holiday Request Justification, complete the following fields (not mandatory):

    Balance In the option group Balance, enter the balance code or click Select Code , select a balance code and click Finish.
    Comments You may add an explanation for the holiday request and the selected balance code.
  9. Click Finish.
    The absence code appears in the Abs column of the relevant day and employee.
    Holiday requests are only added to days with planned attendance.
    Multiple absence codes per day and employee can be entered.

    On completion of the wizard you may receive an error message. This means that after checking, the system has discovered that there is insufficient reserve to write off the counters.

    Depending on the limit settings in the Configurator, the wizard will be able to finish (warning) or unable to finish (error).

    If the wizard cannot finish, choose another code or contact Human Resources.

    Always read the error message carefully!
